WOODFOIL^™ Acoustic Shell

Slightly concave birch plywood — the shell of the Casino Estoril and Malta concerts.

Description

WOODFOIL is a slightly concave diffusion panel made of varnished birch plywood on a softwood structure. It is ideal for building acoustic diffusion shells in concert halls, theatres and auditoriums.

There are two options: WOODFOIL, in plain birch plywood, and WOODFOIL AB, perforated for a higher absorption coefficient. Rotating panels by 90° lets each room be tuned to its goals, and when several pieces are used together the angle of incidence never becomes too convergent, giving a homogeneous scattering of sound energy.

WOODFOIL is available in a range of wood veneers or, as an option, in regular colours.
